Meg D'Arcy

Meghan D'Arcy is Certified in Training and Counselling though The Academy for Dog Trainers and also a Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer through leading expert Malena DeMartini.

For the past few years Meg has been operating her own professional dog walking and pet sitting business called Walk With Meg and is a member of the Toronto Dog Walkers Association and Pet Professional Guild. Building upon years of dedication to working with local humane societies and rescues, Meg currently fosters retired racing Greyhounds for After the Track and has enjoyed socializing feral kittens and providing cat behaviour counselling through Toronto Cat Rescue. Meg shares her life with her sassy and adorable mutt Wile E Coyote and Team Wile E has enjoyed dabbling in agility and proudly earned Canine Good Neighbour and Saint John Ambulance Therapy Dog certification.

Wile E's severe separation anxiety inspired Meg to become a pet professional and pursue education in dog training and behaviour. Meg knows first-hand what life is like with a dog with SA, the importance of management and the joy of working towards recovery. Several years ago Meg started attending seminars at the TCCE and participating in classes, which was the start of her journey into dog training and behaviour. As a self-professed dog nerd and keen lifetime learner, Meg is enthused about continuing education and always eager to earn new certifications, keep up with the latest developments and research and attend workshops and seminars. Meg has a soft spot for soft dogs, fearful and reactive dogs and rescues.
