Day One - Dog to Human Aggression

  • Understand the ramifications for dog bites
  • What to know before taking aggression cases
  • Canine body language including precursors to aggression
  • What to do BEFORE meeting with client
  • Additional safety measures to have in place
  • Safety and management equipment
  • How to set up an assessment room
  • How to take dogs in and out of kennels safely

  • Defensive handling and leash skills including leash locks, muzzle wraps, back ties, accordion leash holds, and more

  • Leash handling skills when working dog-dog cases
  • Shelter dog playgroups
  • What to do with off leash dogs that approach the dog you're handling
  • Presentation of case studies with video of dog to dog aggression and how to choose appropriate tools and techniques
  • Presentation of dog-dog aggression case in shelter environment

Booking Policies

  • Full refunds will be given minus a $50 administration fee for requests made before January 31, 2018. 50% refunds will be given for requests made before February 13 2018. No refunds will be made after this. Group rates are non-refundable as they affect the rest of the group. 
  • Should you be unable to attend, you may choose to transfer/sell your ticket. If you do so, you must notify us in writing at info [at] thetcce [dot] com at least one (1) week prior to the event.

  • Can I bring my pet? This is a humans-only event due to the nature of the topic. Please make alternate arrangements for your pets! 
  • Are service dogs allowed? Absolutely, according to our laws, service dogs are permitted, however, emotional support and therapy pets are not permitted at this event. 
  • Will we be working with live dogs? During this event, we will be working with fake/stuffed life-sized dogs as we cannot re-create aggression, nor is it safe to do so. 
  • Can you recommend a place nearby to stay? Yes! Send us an email at info [at] thetcce [dot] com and we will provide you with a list of hotels that are pleased to offer special rates for our seminar attendees. 
  • I don't drive - can you provide transit directions? Yes! Absolutely. Our seminar is in a very accessible area and we offer car pooling assistance for our attendees. Email us at info [at] thetcce [dot] com and we will help. 
  • I have food allergies / dietary restrictions - will I be accommodated? We will be offering a range of food, however, we are unable to commit to vegan or gluten-free options, so if the standard options do not suit you, we ask that you bring appropriate snacks or a bagged lunch. 
  • Do you offer a group discount rate? Yes! We're happy to provide a 10% discount for groups of six (6) people or more.
