Between 6 and 16 weeks (approximately), puppies go through a critical period where learning is optimal. We're often told by well-meaning people to keep our puppies inside or away from other dogs or the public until they've had all their shots? Does that sound familiar? Unfortunately this is very outdated advice, and frankly, it's quite dangerous. The current standard in the industry is to get our healthy puppies into a well-run and reputable puppy school as early as possible so that we can start creating fantastic associations in their world and teaching them appropriate behaviours before they develop bad habits.
