Stephanie has always had a love for animals for as long as she can remember. Growing up, her family always had at least one pet in the home. After living out west for eight years without a pet, she decided in June 2013 that it was the right time to adopt a dog. Shortly thereafter she met a two year old Lab/Border Collie cross who was searching for his forever home. Duke was adopted and started his new life with Stephanie within two days of their first meeting.
Fast forward seven months and a move to a new neighbourhood, Duke’s behaviour toward other dogs began to change and Stephanie looked to the help of a trainer. Duke and Stephanie graduated from the Cranky Canine program at The Toronto Centre for Canine Education in April 2014. This program changed their lives and Stephanie now only uses force free methods with Duke and all animals she meets.
Stephanie has over ten years experience in office administration, customer service and business management. After four years of working long hours in the corporate world as an executive assistant she decided it was time for a change. She was looking for a business that was passionate about what they did and cared about their clients. In 2014, Stephanie joined the team at The TCCE.
Stephanie has a passion for small businesses and enjoys helping dog owners find the right fit for their training needs. She feels the best part of working with clients is to see them and their dogs succeed and build a strong relationship through the positive reinforcement training taught at The TCCE.
Described as "the glue that holds us together", Steph is a welcome (and long awaited) addition to the team; the perfect fit. In fact, we have no idea how we survived without her and try not to think about it. It gets emotional.
